Who we are

WineFind is operated by YIMPIM. We provide an Android application for Canadian wine enthusiasts, initially focused on users in Ontario and Quebec.

What we collect

We collect account information you provide, including your name, email address, and authentication details. We may also collect approximate location data at the city level to support store matching and recommendations. We may collect photos, images, or files you choose to upload or capture within the app for cellar entry and image-based wine extraction features. We do not require your full personal address.

How we use it

Your information is used to create and maintain your account, authenticate access, provide personalized wine recommendations, support cellar features, and process image-based extraction using AI tools for the purpose of identifying or summarizing wine-related information. We do not sell your personal data.

Camera, photos, and AI processing

If you choose to use camera features or upload images, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share those images. We may process such images using AI-based image analysis tools to extract wine-related information such as labels, bottle details, or metadata. The resulting output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or require manual review.

Payments and app store purchases

If you purchase a premium unlock or add-on credits through Google Play, Google may process the payment and provide us with limited transaction details necessary to fulfill the purchase and prevent fraud. We do not store full payment card data.

Third-party store and pricing information

WineFind may provide information about wines, availability, pricing, or store-related data sourced from third-party providers or public sources. We are not affiliated with LCBO, SAQ, or any other retailer, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability of such information. Any pricing shown should be treated as informational only and may be outdated or subject to change.

Your choices

You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-related information where applicable. You may also stop using the app at any time. If you do not want to use camera or image features, you may choose not to use them.

Service limitations

AI-generated or extracted information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suitable for important decisions. You should review all outputs and rely on them at your own discretion. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of recommendations, images, or third-party data.
